The Slooble Jones that slicked.

Wed Jul 21, 2004, 7:41 AM
In Writing, we had to do a Dr. Suess study and poem, so I made a Slick Jones one, I really like it. Here it is. Plus at the end the stuff I wrote when I got really carred away and bored.

Look at this city, notice how funky it looks.
Things like it not even in history books.
Here there is no hope, a lot of pain.
Nothing to lose, a lot to gain.

This future is not too bright, not calm at all.
It's up to only some to stop the fall.
There's a new guy and his partner now
No more evil will they allow
There isn't going to be any more bad things done
For this town, a revolution has begun.

That is perfect for this place
What they need is a new face
Should he fight with all his might?
Should he curl up in a ball real tight?
No, he'll fight the bad
He'll fight the badly bad
Why would he do it?
Why would he fight?
Why shouldn't he go fly a kite?
He'll do it for you, and he'll do it for me.
This man, Slick Jones, he's really something to see.

The king of cool, the master of funk.
Screw the 70's, compared to this-
that decade really stunk!

Slick and Willy are here now
through the baddies they'll plow
No more crazy jerks
Getting their evil perks
Fun and weirdness will be the norm
Along with joy, if Slick beats the storm.

A ton I've written, a ton you see.
I don't know what else is for me.
This writing, these poems are these
they have me running up trees.
And now I've gotta pee!

A little carried away I've gotten,
writing about my story I've forgotten.
Saving this I will, I think
For I am a Dr. Suess fink!

And this was my first one, based on the scene with Slick and Cat:

He has skill and great strength
He has bravery to long length
He'll show you that himself
It's up to you or I to choose how we see
It's not easy for him, he's doing his best.
Throwing love into this mess is only one more test.
